At Vital Mission Farm we go beyond organic. Our regenerative agricultural practices are nurturing for the animals, healthy for the consumer, regenerating for the environment, and beneficial to wildlife. All of our products are free of vaccines, medicated feed, antibiotics, pesticides, chemical fertilizer, herbicides or hormones. We raise our birds in the sunshine, outside on pasture, which means they eat more green vegetation and bugs. Rotating the birds daily to fresh grass is very labor intensive but worth the reward. The birds are healthier and do not require medications. The meat also gains a richer flavor, a higher content of Vitamins A, D, and E, and healthier fats that can not be replicated by the factory farms. Buying and taking dietary supplements and vitamins is not necessary when you eat nutrient dense food that is raised properly. The texture and flavor of our products is unlike any other, and our animals live a natural life that we are proud of.
All of our products can either be picked up just call or email us in advance to be sure we will be there. We also deliver to your door in the Charleston area for a flat $6 fee regardless of order size. Just choose pickup or delivery during checkout. We deliver on Monday afternoons for purchases made the previous week, and ask if you will not be home to leave a cooler with ice on your porch for your purchases.

Lowcountry Raised
We hear stories of extreme weather events and deforestation on the news everyday but it really hits home when you can see it first hand. I am a nature lover and outdoorsman with a bachelors degree in biology and a doctorate of pharmacy. Growing up in the lowcountry I spent much of my free time outdoors in pursuit of fishing, boating, hiking, and hunting. In my adventures, I began to notice changes in the environment such as heavier flooding events, higher tides, reduced fish populations, and forests being converted to subdivisions. I was very concerned about our human impact on our natural world and wondered if in 20 years there would be any natural wilderness or wild animals left for my son to experience.
I started to brainstorm how I could help more people improve their health and take care of our natural environment at the same time. I started Vital Mission Farm with a purpose to grow all natural healthy food in a responsible manner. The health and nutritional value of the food we grow is just as important as the manner in which it was produced. As an animal lover, I could not stand the thought of thousands of chickens, debeaked and crammed in a tiny room covered in manure and dander. I was concerned about their health and well-being, not to mention the thought of eating something like that. I knew there had to be a better way.
